First, in June - I went to Cancun.

I stayed in an amazing hotel,

Where I ate, drank, and snoozed in the sun.

aaaaaand I got married....http://www.lavigneincancun.blogspot.com/
Soon after spending a ridiculously fantastic time lying on the beach, hanging out with close friends and relatives, sipping on frothy fruity drinks and soaking up enough sun to fulfill my Vitamin D requirement until I'm 80 years old, I left my new hubby to join 25 Barrington High School students on their trip to Crow's Creek indian reservation in South Dakota. The experience was mind blowing. It's hard to summarize. I spent time in a beautiful area with mosquitoes the size of pelicans, local Lakota children, a horse named Tango.

There were violent, breathtaking storms, complete with light, color and fervor.

The experiences shared by the students from Barrington proved to be emotional and spiritual.

I hope to return. There was a peace there. I am not a heavily spiritual person, but there was an energy there that was comforting. and impossible to ignore.
